Does this sound like you? Thoughts about the food you eat and the body you live in are taking up too much brain space. You live in the limbo of feeling obsessed with food and your body and are seeking more flexibility and balance. You want to prioritize being more authentic, with yourself and those around you, while pursuing healthful habits. That's where our work together begins. Add a sentence.
We'll work together to sift through the nuance of nutrition science to find what works for you. We'll explore what giving yourself unconditional permission to eat the foods you enjoy can look like, and hopefully push the scale aside and focus on eating patterns for you to feel and function at your best.
I offer nutrition therapy for eating disorders (including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder and ARFID), picky eating, relative energy deficiency in sport (RED-S), hypothalamic amenorrhea and PCOS, as well as menu planning and caregiver support.
After the initial assessment, we will schedule follow-up sessions. These sessions are usually 50 minutes, but 30 minute sessions are available when appropriate.
Everyone starts with an initial assessment. During this 75 minute appointment, we will go over your medical history, beliefs you hold around food, and what goals you would like to work towards with seeing a registered dietitian.
To book an initial assessment, contact me through email or a phone call where I can answer any questions you have and we can choose a date and time that works best for both of us.

It's not about what you eat, but how you eat in order to feel good. We live in a society that puts so much focus on food decisions (that are constantly changing!) which leaves us feeling that we're doing it all wrong. Balance is a trendy word these days, but that's because we're told to be balanced but not give the tools in order to achieve that. All foods can (and should!) fit into your life - let's work on the balance piece together and develop tools and realistic expectations on how food can support your best self.
Registered Dietitian + Founder of Greenville Nutrition Therapy
An advocate for change. Lover of chocolate. Hostess with the mostest.
Greenville Nutrition Therapy was started in 2018 after discovering the joy from walking alongside clients as they navigate their journey to freedom with food and contentment in caring for their bodies.
I am direct, yet compassionate and I am more interested in the patterns and trends in your eating than specifically what foods you eat. I am committed to providing weight inclusive, culturally sensitive, evidence based treatment to help all individuals achieve freedom and full recovery from their eating disorder. I regard diversity and believe that all diversity is to be valued and honored.
If you’re ready to learn, take risks and explore what freedom with food is really like... let's work together.
Julie was heaven-sent! We were clueless when it came to eating disorder treatment, and she was able to ease all of our fears and get my daughter on the road to recovery. She responded very quickly to any question I had, and I never felt alone in the process. Most importantly, she treated my daughter with a level of respect and encouragement that allowed her to begin taking back control of her life. Her knowledge and experience are invaluable - I credit her with being an integral part of my daughter's recovery!

Working with Julie has made such a positive impact on my life. I used to have a negative relationship with food and be set in destructive patterns of eating. I held onto so much guilt around any food I ate, but through my recovery with Julie I live with more freedom now. I don't obsess over calories as much as I did before and because of that I'm able to live the healthy life I've wanted to live. I have the healthiest relationship with food and exercise I've had in years, all with Julie's care and support.
- A Former Client -
I have worked with a number of dietitians over the years but been with Julie since 2017. I appreciate and respect her straightforward approach. She listens and advises me with the utmost professionalism. Julie is truly amazing and a top talent in her field. I feel very blessed to have her as my dietitian.

Due to limitations within the coverage of SC insurance providers, I am not in-network with any insurance providers. All appointments will be paid for by the client at the time of service by check, cash, credit/debit/HSA card.
All or part of your out-of-network services may be reimbursed depending on your individual insurance plan with the submission of a receipt called a “superbill.” Please contact your insurance provider to check both your mental health and medical benefits for any out-of-network medical nutrition therapy coverage. If you would like a superbill for any current or past services please contact me directly.
Every client I see has an individualized treatment plan. I like to meet weekly for the first 4-6 weeks after the initial session to ensure you have a good understanding of your treatment plan and to give us time to truly get to know each other. However, it is not required and completely dependent on your preferences, time and financial availability and your needs. I will make clinical recommendations when necessary but I hope to find a schedule that works for you.
I have a decade of experience working at various levels of care with children as young as 8 through all stages of adolescence and adulthood.
The cost of the initial assessment is $200. The cost of a 50-minute follow up session is $130. I have a limited number of sliding scale appointments so please contact me to inquire about availability.
My waiting room and office are furnished with couches and armless chairs to be suitable for any body. Unfortunately, my office is not ADA accessible due to a limited number of stairs (3) required to get to the entrance of the building. I apologize for this lack of inclusivity. Gender-neutral, single stall restrooms are available in the office building.
